Database Administrator (m/f)

As a Database Administrator at GameDuell, you can expect a high traffic gaming platform with more than 500 million page views a month. As one of the fastest growing Internet communities, GameDuell is active throughout Europe and is currently expanding in the U.S. Our system of service-oriented architecture continues to evolve (with weekly release frequency).

Your tasks

• Tuning of high traffic online databases
• Developing and implementing of scaling strategies
• Database design (ER-modeling)
• Development and setup of automatic processes
• Database administration (RDBMS)
• Formatting activities on our site for statistical questions

What we expect

• You think analytically and relationally even in your sleep.
• You feel comfortable with different Linux environments, programming in Java, and you are an SQL pro.
• Scripting in Shell is an absolute must. Ideally, you are also familiar with Map Reduce and Hadoop.
• You enjoy working with large data volumes and can conceptualize and implement ETL processes.
