Senior Product Manager for Web, Community, and Social Games (m/f)

In your new job as Senior Product Manager you will further develop GameDuell’s websites, community, and social games. You’ll work in a diverse and passionate team of product managers, prototypers and visual designers and in close collaboration with our developers, marketing team, and management.
Your projects will be fully international as GameDuell is present in all major European markets and expanding rapidly in the USA. You’ll be based in our Berlin headquarters. If you like, you can work some time of the year in our San Francisco office or in our development center in Asia.

Your tasks

• Opportunity Assessment: Collect interesting ideas, calculate business cases and evaluate new product opportunities
• Discovery: Create concepts and prototypes for new features (for example: tournaments, social feeds, virtual currencies) while constantly testing and validating your work with users
• Product Owner: Make sure stakeholders are involved, convey the product vision, and lead the execution phase in our cross-functional SCRUM teams by staying focussed on the goals you have set
• Accountability: Define, measure, and analyze key metrics and be ultimately responsible for the success of all your projects
• Learning Loops: Iterate and pivot by conducting split-tests and deriving actions to constantly improve our product (in lifetime value, user experience, engagement, conversion, monetization, and viral growth)
• Strategy: Help develop GameDuell’s product vision and strategy directly with our management team

What we expect

• Product Guru: You have significant real-world (not just academic) experience with prototyping, wireframes, user testing, and SCRUM. And a great passion for usability, web design, and making customers very happy
• Achiever: You thrive in an intense working environment and are self-driven with a strong goal orientation. You have a desire to make things happen and getting jobs done well, so you pro-actively take action. You don’t know the phrase “not my job”
• Experienced: You have at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in product management for internet or entertainment products. Your primary contribution will be product ownership and project leadership. Talent development and business development experience is desired, but not required
• Tech savvy: You have a good understanding of current web technologies, social networks and online communities and are passionately following new trends
• Ideator: You’re very creative - in combination with affection for high quality and a talent to create “Wow!!!” user experiences
• Brainiac: Despite your impressive right brain capabilities your left brain possesses very strong analytical powers. You surprise people with your abilities in Excel, market research, a/b testing, and web analytics
• International: You are open-minded and like diversity. More than run-of-the-mill English skills, both verbal and written, are a MUST as all our internal communication is in English. German skills not required
• Team Player: You work best in a participatory, collaborative, team-based environment. You inspire teams and infuse positive energy. You are direct and open but always constructive and helpful - no bullshit, no status, no politics, no hidden agendas ;-)
