In your new job as Interaction Designer you’ll be responsible for defining and validating the complete customer experience and user interface of GameDuell’s websites, social network apps, and games. You’ll work in a diverse and passionate team of product managers, prototypers and visual designers in close collaboration with our developers, marketing team, and management.
Your projects will be fully international as GameDuell is present in all major European markets and expanding rapidly in the USA. You’ll be based in our Berlin headquarters. If you like, you can work some time of the year in our San Francisco office or in our development center in Asia.

Your tasks
- User Research: Conduct usability tests, create pesonas, and measure UI issues based on best practices
- Design: Create and specify the interface architecture and flows for an effective and exciting user experience. Build use cases, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards and mockups
- User Championing: Define customer needs and ensure that the product that gets built is super easy to use and will exceed the expectations of our target audience (mainly women, 35+)
What we expect
- IxD Guru: You have at least 1-3 years of experience in designing interactions for internet, software, mobile or entertainment products. You have excellent skills in rapid prototyping and a talent for making complex flows usable to the customer. You are extremely passionate about good usability, visual design, and customer needs
- Artist: You are creative and have a talent to design “Wow!!!” user experiences. You have affection for high quality and know the difference between good and great work
- Explorer: You’re skilled in user interviews, a/b testing, web analytics, survey design, and of course, Excel
- Strong Communicator: You have excellent verbal, written and visual presentation skills. More than run-of-the-mill English skills, both verbal and written, are a MUST as all our internal communication is in English. German skills not required
- Team Player: You work best in a participatory, collaborative, team-based environment. You inspire teams and infuse positive energy. You are direct and open but always constructive and helpful - no bullshit, no status, no politics, no hidden agendas ;-)
